A celebration of Detroit’s people, architecture, and spirit. This piece makes golf feel approachable and emphasizes that the Rocket Mortgage Classic belongs to the community.

Sam note: “When directing this piece, I was inspired to use parallax to make the grand moments feel frozen in time. This helped seamlessly merge photo and video, allowing for photography to have moments that feel more dynamic. The sound scape here was also very important. I referenced the Alabama Shakes “I Found You” for the Motown, soul, summer like experience, timing the crescendos with the beats in the scripts. It was an honor to work with the photographers and capture the beautiful people and iconography of our community.”
